Who's riding at night?

Gravity is a theory. Just like climate change and relativity (actually, gravity and relativety are related). We understand gravity so well that we can call it a law and launch a probe into space and use gravity assist from multiple planets to get us to the outer limits of our solar system, but still a theory. Just like we can build a nuclear bomb or use GPS navigation with our understanding or relativity. Or how we can make climate models from our understanding of climate change. All just theories, including gravity.

But, we don't know how gravity works, we just know it exists. We have great tested ideas on how it works, which is why we call it a theory and not a hypothesis, but still a theory.

 

I am content that it works and I don't have to use velcro sticky tires to keep from floating away.

 

Aren't those great!

 

Laws can be repealed. And if not, there's always disobedience...

 

Gravity is an oppressor - it is holding us. As I have always said “Down with gravity”

Reminds me of an old joke. The St. Johns river that flows through the middle of Jacksonville, Florida (and which is the longest river in Florida), flows north. When visiting Jacksonville, people will often ask "do you know why?"

The answer: "Because Georgia sucks."

 

Which is amazing that Floridians can actually look down on anyone!
