There was an airlift out of Santiago Oaks this afternoon......

Somebody posted on a Yeti page that the guy crashed on the Cactus trail. He didn't post any details.

This time it was not my buddy's wife - aka my wife's BFF from high school.

Thoughts and prayers to the vic, even if he/she was on an e-bike. Well, maybe...

 

Gotta get that e-bike quip on there... chuckles.

 

Do we have positive reports of an airlift, or just heavy helicopter activity? A county helo has been training extensively over by dump hill recently.

 

Yeah, they don't usually hover over Cactus/Yucca/Bumblebee.

My wife was at the barn at the bottom of the dam....she can hear/see when these go down.

 

So who got there first? Sheriff of Fire Rescue?
Aren’t they still competing with each other?

 

I read a bit ago that they have an agreement, I think they just agreed to race to the calls.

That's because the 2 wheel drive ambulance just pulls up next to them and they throw them in the back!

Actually it's because there is a rather large St Jude hospital with a 24 hr emergency room adjacent to the trail.

 

When copters hover, its possibly due to not having a safe landing area. Thats what they had to do in my rescue.
