About 3 years ago I asked a ranger there if e-bikes are allowed. He said he didn't know. Looks like they decided they aren't. Maybe with all the people-y conditions last 5 months there have been more close encounters, especially on Telegraph Road, and more walker & hiker complaints. I hope they also check for fake handicapped/disabled placards lots of e-bikers use. Chino hills is rotten with e-bikes. But I'm guessing enforcement, if any, will be minimal, until a mom with a stroller or grampa gets run down.

a gaggle of old men rode up all on e-motorcycles as i rested at the bottom of mustard this afternoon. they all rode past the no ebikes allowed signed at the beginning of whiting.

agree that enforcement will not happen until something bad happens to a walker/hiker

Handicap placards don’t matter. When someone tries to tell me that they have asthma, I mention they my wife has asthma and did a 13.5 hour Ironman. If they insist it’s really bad, I mention that my father in law rode from Michigan to Spokane and back in the 60’s, and he’s missing his right leg above the knee. So tell me more about that asthma...

Someone shared Chino hills post on the Yorba Linda buzz and I got a kick outta this exchange. Had to go and bring a rigid single speed into the argument which kinda hurt my feelings. Is it ok to drive an electric car on the sidewalk since it's pretty much a mobility scooter?
