I had Carpal tunnel surgery Feb 2nd and have 4 weeks of healing time. Not willing to sit around and get fatter, I bought a pair of trail running shoes so I can run with my hound and figured it's a good time to pop the ole Shaun T workout video in. Hoping to come back fitter than pre surgery.

I broke my ankle and go to the gym and use a handcycle to do my cardio and core training. I also did not want to sit around and get fatter. So as soon as I got my walking boot I was at the gym. You could take a spin class probably.

    Front and rear!

As soon as I got out of the hospital, I started walking and riding a bike on a stationary trainer almost daily. Yeah it was boring, so is daytime tv!
I believe that even mild activities are better than none and promote healing.
I actually came back a little leaner, and was able to ramp back up to speed rather quickly. YMMV.
