YES!!! This - we need @Faust29 to be the first with 3 current (or near-current) model Santa Cruz bikes to completely f--k with his head when deciding where and what to ride!!

    Do it Steve, do it!

I stuck a doggy carrier on my old crit bike. Awesome for rolling around Coronado - my new haunt.

I just ordered a 180 rotor size rear adapter for my Timberjack. The 160 rotor is overwhelmed.

The friend from last month who had the burned out drivetrain brought over new parts...so I replaced cassette/chain/ring as well as derailleur pulleys.

I then serviced the Revelation on my SS.....

Followed by truing the rear wheel on the Hightower.

    Busy afternoon in the garage.

Just a weekend pad. But I am really digging the community. No mountains to ride, however.

Well... The good news is that I didn't even realize it broke the other night. KMC chains get you back to the car even after they break! :p

Old chain on for tomorrow's ride until I can pick up another KMC 8 speed...

Nothing to give a sense of scale; looks like that may have a slight lack of leverage for stubborn bottle caps. :whistling:

Hmmmm... isn’t the cap opening a form of scale? Looks to be 3 bottle caps long. :p

This little guy has to go in the pack whenever I ride the new single speed. It tightens the spring on the chain tensioner.

Did you buy or rent? I have been thinking about getting one also. Post a review of your results.

5 of us all pitched in and bought one. Before buying, one of the guys reached out to Aaron Gwin's personal mechanic who he has known before he made the big time and asked him about the Shock Wiz. The mechanic said it's the real deal and works great. He added that he purposely tried to "mess with" the settings and the Shock Wiz detected the changes and offered the suggestions to take him back to the proper/original settings. We'll see how it goes. Technology is generally not my friend but setting it up today was pretty simple. So far so good.

Nice. I look forward to your review. I am picking my bike up from Lopes shop tomorrow, where I just had my X2 rebuilt. I will make a point to ask them their thoughts on it. It is definitely an intriguing gadget.

Someone on the forum has posted about using one with very positive results. I think it was @Tom the Bomb? Memory is a little foggy.

For the past year or so my rear hub has been making some noise and last Saturday it got really loud. I'm guessing the cup and cone bearings (if that's what you call them) needed some maintenance. Rather than diagnose a low-end wheelset I decided to buy a new one. I picked up a Shimano Ultegra tubeless wheelset at a decent price and mounted up some new Conti's while I was at it. Here's to many more happy road miles.

I run those tires my own self. Bulletproof so far, on the order of several thousand miles.
