With @UPSed changing his birthday ride to McGill instead of Big Bear. It only made my commute 3 hours closer! Like a 20 minute drive from my house?

I was planning on shuttling everybody all day as a gift to Ed for his birthday, but since I'm such a pinhead when it comes to shuttles, we had so many vehicles, we got like 5 runs in down McGill with only one vehicle regroup. After 3 runs, Jennifer said she was done and shuttled us the last two.

I'm not a big shuttle guy. I would rather earn my descent, but I got to tell you, I had a blast! Even though McGill is only 20 minutes from my house I have never gone down McGill twice in one day, let alone 5. I could have done this all day. I have to say, you certainly can start to get a trail dialed by doing run after run.

I told @TomF I rode it a couple times per month but when I got to thinking about it, I ride McGill maybe every couple of months.

We had fun. Oh, there were some spills. One where @hill^billy went over the bars so @TomF went over Hill^billy's bike then crashed..... Nice! But for the most part, we came out relatively unscathed.

The weather was cool and totally perfect. The trail a bit dusty so we started to place a 30 second start gap as we dropped in.

@Voodoo Tom chose to ride up the pavement and then down McGill and STRAVA recorded him as 4th overall on the McGill loop! Nice. My best I think is 8th overall on the loop. Killer time Tom!

Hill^billy was late (but he was eating his Superbowl of cereal), so he rode up the trail and we eventually connected on our 3rd run down.

I took vid but have not had time to process it. We were so spaced out (Buh buh buh Benny and the Jets) it was difficult to get some good Vid action.

Afterwards UPSed wanted to go to Mikes Pizza. They have beer Mikie likes, not that IPA crud!
    :gag:
Drank real mugs of real beer and chowed some pizza.

Just so you know, there is another great pizza place in Frazier Park named Caveman Cavey!

Great day in the saddle. If you thought about going and didn't? You TOTALLY blew it!

My best run for the day:

How in the world do I tell Mrs. Watson that Jennifer's German Chocolate Cake Cup Cakes were the best I have EVER had????

Fun video! Trail looks really good, especially as a shuttle. And it did seem really dry and dusty up. Hope the head's okay after that minor impact there!

Actually Tom, with all the rediculious chatter on that trail I thought it seemed pretty smooth.

That truly is a good mount location. I'm going to have to "@hill^billy" something together...

I know! I was a bit unlucky that day getting taken out twice (well the first was just due to being blinded by dust), but at least it made good video!
