Ucsc trails

Any advice on how to unlock goods at ucsc?
Pogonip?
Upper campus?
Where to start? Any good loops?

Gonna go up to scruz... Want to Branch out from soquel.. and Wilder... And into ucsc but no good information on ucsc trails....

Those trails are mostly unsanctioned. Doubt you will find any specific info posted on forums. Poke around on strava/heat map then go explore

 

Santa cruz flow trail. I've not ridden it but looks like a blast. One I would like to ride for sure. Does not contain chunky goodness but does have miles of fast trails.

The best thing about the flow trail is that it pairs well w the Braille trail.. two parallel trails one flowy and one chunky.. connected by sulfur springs climb..
I'm looking for something else.. in ucsc...had a taste of ucsc... Mailbox.. etc....

 

so the plan had been to go to Santa Cruz in april and may.. haha.. that blew up... we had been there mostly every other year in the spring around sea otter time.. but this year, covid cancelled our plans... then i thought, I have some time off in August... will go hit S Cruz then.. haha.. fires cancelled that ..
my plan was to park near UCSC and go explore... Demo/Nisene/Wilder.. great places to ride but want to branch out... But who knows when we can go back...

Question: anyone know a good place to start near UCSC ...ie park your car? where the popular parking spot is to access UCSC area trails??
