U Haul Hitches

So i got the hitch installed...they managed to not have the reservation in the system or the hitch...so I boogied to another place that had it it, brought it back, and they installed it. Took only 7 hours to make it happen.

Got the Yakima Holdup rack. Out the bikes on it today from west Anaheim to Santa Ana Canyon and there's no rattle, wobble, or bounce. 2 inch receiver hitch and rack. No adapters.

Even with the mixup is recommend U Haul hitch installation. $230 for hitch and install, lifetime warranty.

Looks nice... Better than shoving it in the back of the car. My wife and I are talking about a road trip to Oregon to visit the offspring, and she caught me eyeing up the trunk in the new car. It was not a pleasant gaze. We've been married way too long, because she had my number, and jumped right to, "Can't you rent a bike up there???"

Oh, I thought about going there. For a second... I've learned a little bit about survival after 25 years!

I installed a hitch from etrailer tonight. Couldn't have been easier. 15 minutes tops.

I got a Curt class 2 for my Camry. It was a bolt on installation.

Been thinking about getting a 2" adapter like this one:

It's my buddy's Joker. He bought it new back in the day when he was living in San Diego. He transitioned to road, and that snow summit trip was probably the only time it had been taken out in about a decade.

Was that rack supposed be installed behind a van, that just looks out of place behind a compact car?

I don't think U-Haul sells this hitch...and who needs gears? Maybe this is the way Jack LaLanne did it!

I used to ride the Ventana Pantera built in the same partnership. Great high forward single pivots.
