I'm surprised no one mentioned this shindig yet. Tahoe instead of Baldy this year...

I was thinking the same thing. I caught the last 30 miles of it yesterday. Mr. Sagan is at it again. Lol

Had it on the DVR....watched all the way to the end.....then :10 seconds from the finish, shut off. :bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Had to search it out online.

Still kinda bummer that after all these years, they still haven't gone through the OC.

That's crazy that they haven't. They went by my house in Temecula just a couple of years ago.

I went and watched in SD yesterday. Ran into a handful of people I knew officiating, VIP escorting and spectating.
I was about 150 meters from the finish, saw them all go by; but couldn't tell who won from there until an off the back Tinkoff rider raised his arms in celebration.
I took the train down early in the morning and rode my CX bike around and had lunch at Pizza Port during the race and a nice Indian dinner with friends downtown afterwards.
    Took an evening train home.
It was a very long day.

It's also still kind of a bummer that after all these years, the service that is providing the actual video of the race hasn't figured out how to send a clear signal. It is so frustrating to watch. The first half hour of yesterdays "live" broadcast showed the finish line banner because they couldn't get a signal out of the mountains. The boys tried to cover for them by saying it was difficult to get the signals out of the canyons, but there was just as much glitching on the flats. I don't understand how NBC tolerates this. They don't have this issue at the TDF.

My GF works right next to the two hotels the teams stayed at. Rode down there to stalk the team mechanics.
