109 at my house in Lake Foredt today.
I went to Belmont Shore to SUP and cool off. Only 100 with no wind there.

Saw it's supposed to snow in Denver on Tuesday, first September snow in 20 years.

I saw some great pictures posted on a gravel err MTB site. Needed to get away from California.

 

Try not to look at the roadsides around Flagstaff. The culture of hucking trash out a car window is alive and well. Not to mention hauling ass on the dirt, especially when peds or bikes are present. Good luck on those country roads...AZ rednecks, same as they ever was.


Santa Ana winds pushed the smoke out of Big Bear. Sorry, convenience people, Snow Summit is closed this WE. As is all the BC here.

 

Looks like our getaway in Sonoma is not going to happen with the fires there.
Is Williams open for business, restaurants and such? Looks like a nice option for a few days, and id like to see the grand canyon.

Weather in Calabasas seems to be broken. Yesterday was supposed to be 95, smokey, 30mph winds. Today is supposed to be 95, smokey, 40 mph winds. Yesterday never even hit 80, mist in the mornings, not so much as a light breeze. Currently 74, clean air, light breeze at most. Weird.

 

And into OC. But, it doesnt look like teh winds are as strong as originally predicted. Yet, anyway.

 

We here in the Crescenta Valley are enveloped in dense smoke. Hard to breath, water eyes, general misery.

Does anyone know if dense forest fire smoke stops or kills COVID-19? I'm looking for any possible good thing to come out of this.

 

The smoke made it here overnight as well. Not as dense as yours, it seems, but here nonetheless.

 

We're not looking forward to going home. Crystal clear skies and a crisp 40° this morning with a high of 70° this afternoon.

 

Yesterday in Tustin, with raining ashes also.

This is the air I had to deal with living in Beijing... Luckily I still have my pm2.5 mask with replaceable F96 filters...

Hail storm. Several roll over accidents as a result.

 

Kinda interesting contrast - as I look at this thread the top post is me mentioning it hit 109 in Lake Forest.
Today is only 59.
But I still went paddling in Newport.
