I had to. :sneaky: For the crowd-averse. :)

What lemonade can be made from the hundreds of lemons rolling the Santa Anas this Saturday? Set up a fake aid station with vodka? Lie in wait for a cat-mask ambush? Mime clotheslining? Prank signage?

I kid. Power to you Kwesters. I'll be out there, staying out of your way, where the suffering is absent of clock and cost. But I wanna see some grimaces. Those I like, the grimaces. Hehe.

Hey @mike, what tires do you recommend for the non-VQ. I like those big balloon ones.

  8. I'd like to see two top XC pros go out and do an e-bike MTB verse human powered MTB mega battle in the mountains. I am sure after enough hours of climbing the human powered could win, given once batteries are toasted the e-bike rider would be lugging extra dead weight

That would be fun. You would have to do some solid practice to understand how to manipulate the batterylife. I have ridden the shops ebike demo enough to know I could get around 30 miles of abusive power.

Last year my son asked me to drive him to the Holy Jim parking lot, so he and his friends could hike it. I didn't realize it at the time, but it was the day of the Trabuco Challenge (right name?). I was doing 15 mph in the car, when Tinker passed us going uphill a mile before the parking lot. He went by me like I was standing still.

He also tailgated the race organizer (in a truck) to the first aid station at the Pioneertown Ride... 17 miles of uphill.

My money is on the human...

You fertile minds have me wondering whether it would be more fun to ride Saturday or take root, get drunk and heckle bonkers.

    Very tough decision!

Not tough at all. If you're not in the race, it's hands down always better to watch, drink, and heckle.:thumbsup::geek:

Booze is legal federally, i.e. in the NF, so no worries about that. State's rights end at the forest boundary. Or so they say. ;)
