Blazing Saddles is about the most anti-racist movie ever made. For starters, think of the portrayals of the whites throughout... bungling, stupid, greedy, sleazy, etc... There are more traits, I'm sure, but I haven't watched it in years. The progressive slant is the reason John Wayne turned down the role after reading the script.

We've lost the ability to perform literary analysis.

 

Oh, and another thing... Can't a guy take a mountain bike ride off-the-grid for a few hours? WTF? You guys lose your minds.

 

Richard Pryor was one of the writers as well

Saw Richard Pryor way back in the day at the Troubadour. Man could he sling the N-word and a lot of other words!

Geez. There were moments I wanted to turn it off cuz it was intense.
6 episodes, big production, I HIGHLY recommend it. The acting was spectacular.

Saw the Godzilla vs. Kong trailer. Not sure what the point of this movie is? Good monster vs. good monster,...WHY?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that there will be a bigger surprise threat...

 

Just for clarification, from an honest-to-goodness southerner (sorta, kinda - like, Missourah): The singular term is "y'all," which is a contraction of the singular "you-all" as the second person singular.

This can be extended to "all y'all" and refer to the second person plural, for "all of you."

Class dismissed.

AND - Blazing Saddles and History of the World, Part II were freakin' hi-larious. Rolling in the aisles style hi-larious. People really need to lighten up. Everybody got targeted in those movies.

I think what threw you was the greek use of the contraction ya'llz, which I've taken to believe should have been y'all if singular and " all y'all " if plural.
But then I'm just parroting what I read above. which I'm sure you may have seen.....

And I've taken to using y'allz on occasion, so I guess that I'm part of the problem and not the solution.

 

I am thinking about signing up for HBO again just to see "The Little Things." Is there anything else on there worthy of watching or binging over the course of a month?

Watched "Silence of the Lambs" over the weekend, and had forgotten how well made it was. Interesting (to me), the serial killer was played by the guy who was the police chief on "Monk".

Designated Survivor on Netflix turned out to be worth watching. I'm not a huge Kiefer Sutherland fan but he did a pretty good job.
