Rox's started to look like that a while back.... It was time for a tire change anyway. When I had Schwalbe's on my DH bike, they did that. Maxxis never did it till the High Roller on her bike did. Weird.

Curious, do you use the Stan's?

yep, bike sleeps in the garage where it's been well above 100* daily whether or not that matters.

I hang my bikes above the hood of my truck in the garage and have same issue with ardents with stans when they get older. A few months ago I noticed some oily fluid blowing onto my windshield and thought engine was leaking motor oil, but after looking under the hood for 15 min figured out it was dripping from the tire.

It was the raw baseboard along the flooring that got my attention.

Stan's played havoc with my Maxxis Ramblers and Clements MSO's. They barely lost any pressure over two or three weeks but looked like hell. I never flatted in three sets of tires either. I switched over to Orange Seal for my new WTB Resolutes

Yet Stan's continues to claim that they haven't changed anything in their sealant. This used to not be an issue.....now it is an issue with most tires.

I'm also finding Stan's is drying out much quicker.

I don't clean my bike very often, but I wipe the "seepiness" from the tires almost every ride. I don't like the look.

Stan's inside Minions. Never had a problem otherwise. Although, my bike has been sitting idle for a couple of weeks. I better give it a spin!

The front tire is an Ikon, was installed at the same time, and has no weepiness. Front is 3c triple compound, rear silk shield dual compound. Maybe why the difference. Maybe not, I don't know.

for some reason this happens on my rear maxxis tires only. I also find that it does not happen to their 120tpi casings and only seems to happen to their 60psi casings. It's very annoying for sure. All of my experience is with Stans... oddly enough I've had two bottles over the last 18 months and there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason on if it happens to certain tires or not, other then the fact that they have all spent time on the back... so I'm assuming it has something to do with the 60tpi casing and weeping through these tires once you've gotten the zipper effect.

I've had this happen to the following tires:
    2.3 DHR 29 EXO/3C/TR
    2.3 Aggressor 29 EXO/3C/TR
    2.3 Highroller 29 EXO/3C/TR

Plenty of maxxis tires this hasn't happened to.
    2.3 DHF, 2.5 DHF, 2.3 Forekaster, 2.3 Ikon, 40c Ravagers, 2.8 rekons etc.

See I’ve had it with 2.35 Ikon, 2.35 Forekaster, 40c Rambler....all on the front as well as the back.

The 2.2 Recon on the back is already starting to weep.

But the same thing happened to the Racing Ralph and the Vittoria Saguaro 2.2.

Check out this pattern starting to develop on my other bike. Again Maxxis Minion this time DHR II again rear wheel only. Both sides of the tire evenly spaced all around the circumference. I don't think it is from rubbing against anything. Looks like it is leaking around the spoke holes too so probably due for a re-tape overhaul.

Nope, you are seeInfo the tire construction....you get those marks by running the tire pressure too low. Basically it’s the fold in the sidewalls like a drag slick.

    Damn 29ers!

They are weeping because they don't want to be stretched that big!

That's happened on my Ardents, also. I didn't think I could run them at too low a pressure.
