¡Taco Tuesday!

Rode to the movies and saw Isle of Dogs (Stylistically brilliant, but kinda' meh story), meandered first to The State (our go-to) for the first round with drinks



(salmon, pastor, portebella)

then hit up Taco Shack as we headed home



(chicken, carne asada, pastor, chorizo, carnitas)

Well-satiated and watching season four, episode two of The Wire.

 

since this is a taco thread... any rec for good eats, tacos or otherwise, nearby Temecula/Wildomar area?

Edit - I had to see for myself...now they're not much bigger than the hot sauce packet and went up in price.

Taco Tuesday at The Libertine Pub in Morro Bay!! My son had his standard bread bowl.

That place is so overrated, Brads next door has better chowder than Splash without the line and someone waiting for your seat.

Haha I’m glad you said that. My wife & I figured that out years ago. Line for Splash was like a block and a half long so we went to Brads and it was way better.

 

I love when I see the huge line for Splash and walk right into Brad’s and sit down and order a better bowl of Chowda.

Funny this showed up on my Facebook memories this morning. Splash Cafe with a short line.

 

We wanted to hold communion in as many cathedrals of the taco as we could. Made it through three before getting to full to move on.

Started at Pedro's where we got fish, fried chicken, and carne asada. Moved on to Sancho's where we grabbed more carne asada and added carnitas to the mix. Finally went to La Tienda and had chorizo and fish. High holy days in the future will probably be spent with Sr. Pedro, as I don't think you can beat those tacos! Sitting on Sancho's deck was pretty nice though. La Tienda was a let down... hadn't been there in years, and they definitely were not on their game.
