STRAWBERRY PEAK

This is a big time favorite of many! A 17 mile loop of spectacular trails located in the San Gabriel Mountains, its best to park at the Switzer Parking Lot so as to not have to hoof that sick paved climb at the end of the trail. Most head back up Switzer Truck Trail (paved) to Natures Canteen Trail (singletrack), cross Angeles Crest Highway and climb up Josephine Peak Road (fire road) to hit the Strawberry Spur trail (all singletrack). This weaves you around the north side of Strawberry Peak for some absolute beautiful back country! Strawberry Spur Trail takes you to a "Y" intersection. Going left on Colby Canyon Trail which eventually leads to the Strawberry Peak Trail that takes and drops you to Red Box. Then continue from Red Box down the Gabrielino Trail back to Switzer.

Dang!! That looks like some sweet riding - I need to get out there!!!!!!!!

 

I have some great pictures of Jennifer and I riding it in the snow but unfortunately Tapatalk is disabled and my pics are too big for this server.

 

I rode Strawberry Peak once, fell of the side of the trail and slide pretty far down. Luckily I was able to dig my feet in and grab a branch! And then flying down, what is it, Redbox?? I can't remember, my friend crashed in front of me and I ran him over! Good times, need to go back!

TapaTalk is not the answer. I am working with both GoDaddy and my .php expert to come up with the "large image file from phones issue." TapaTalk is spyware and keeps causing software issues with our Forum and from talk with other Forum Owners they are experiencing it as well. I have to protect your guys privacy and make sure the Forum is stable. It's possible, that TapaTalk could be what brought down STR...
