January/February showers bring March and April flowers - so post 'em up here.
Love this time of year and if you ride with me don't follow to close as I've been known to stop and snap a photo of the flora.
Poppies, laurel, Indian paintbrush, what else can we see -

I'm guessing these are some member of the lily family but I'm always impressed with how delicate they are.

Wow, so many great photos! I'm a bit embarrassed to show the snapshots I grabbed with my phone. We were riding in Anza Borrego Desert State Park Mon-Wed of this week in the midst of the "super bloom" - best display I've seen there. I’ve tried to provide names of the flowers, but will defer to those with greater botanical knowledge to correct things.

We were fortunate to snag a campsite at Borrego Palm Canyon

    abundant ground cover around camp

Places that are usually dry were lush and green! Here’s a view of the normally dusty Blair Valley

There was lots yellow ground cover (goldfields?) near the Blair Valley Indian morteros and pictographs

There were profuse blooms in Grapvine Cyn and on the Tamarisk Nature Trail.

    brittlebush, chuparosa, ocotillo

    barrel cactus

    brittlebush galore

A sand shelf in Fish Creek Wash had this field of sand verbena just starting up

These last pics are from a short hike up Palm Canyon. The hillsides were yellow with desert sunflowers and brittlebush

    20170322_094229-X3.jpg

also lots of yellow dandelions and gold poppies

    orange/apricot mallow in the washes

Last but not least, the small and delicate ghost flower (Mohavea confertiflora)
