Outer space and mountain biking go hand in hand.

Who here has seen the International Space Station fly over head? It's amazingly bright in the sky when it goes by. It appears to be the size of a 747 jumbo jet (in brightness) but it's actually 200 miles up as it passes by.

Anyway, anyone interested in seeing it, check out the link for dates and times in your area. I'm close to NASA JPL so I use that location as a viewing point. It passes by at 8:27 tonight and it will be up high enough to see it for 4 minutes.

I was abducted by aliens near Roswell, NM back in 1982...things ain't been the same since the probing incident...

And after the ISS passes, we can see Uranus!

I'm afraid I'm a regular watcher too. I use Heavens Above. You can maneuver around the site and see lots of other stuff floating up there too.

The Brightness Scale seems backwards. The more negative (the sun is -25+) the magnitude the brighter it is. A -3 is super visible and easy to track

The site also lists Iridium Flares (see, I'm a geek) which are visible even in the day time. Sorta like a miniature flash bulb going off in the middle of the sky.

We probably don't need any colorful details on the probing, so...
