Most as has been said, good fun, hard work, nice ride, great group.

For me I suffered a bit more than usual, but thats OK, that way you know you earned it. Not Enough saddle time, not well rested / hydrated going in. Took a little / minor washout on PO loop at that chute with the log to the side and apparently knocked off my Garmin, I did not notice till later.. orwell. Biggest bummer I do not to get to see that big suffer score I know I earned.

Also on the PO loop I was riding with the young man that got had the mechanical (solid young rider!), but did not notice when he stopped.. so I climbed almost all the way up to the regroup, noticed he as not there, rode all the way back down to check on him.. just to see the group there, so I had the pleasure of some extra credit re-climb.

I went with @Tom the Bomb up the fire road probably a good move, but you know what that was a grind too in lots of sun, luckily there was water at the campground, I was going to be in trouble without it.

I had a good descent although tired. @Grego and I took an moderate pace, switching places a few times, I cleaned most of it a dab here or there. I was tired so my reactions were a bit slow and not as loose as my quads were getting tight.

I was a bit bonky at the end, but that is how you know you had a good time. The pizza / calories kicked in about half way home so the drive was not as bad as I feared.

Usually on long rides I get stronger in comparison, but a) not with these beasts, b) and not today.

Great to meet so many folks, I appreciate TTB looking out / checking on me, I have played that roll many a times myself, karma goes around. I did play resident pharmacist handing out enduralytes like they were candy.

    Overall Success!!

    I need more Epics! :)

    !Welp!
Here yah go. 36 Pics and I'm positive I always miss someone.
Very disappointing camera day. Discovered I had a smudge on the lens I thought I handled as well as I had it on the wrong setting. From now on it's all GoPro and I will pull stills...

SARt was best evar! Thanks TTB for picking me up in town, finally got some new kicks. Had a blast following JJ's on-point lines down the off camber loose PO DH. Varaxis killed it on the descent from South Fork: SART's a super quick trail if you can pedal over rough. I bet the top XC racers fly down that stretch. Thx for putting this on Mikie, glad you all can still get these big group rides together.

Everybody in @Mikie's pictures above looks a bit on the tired/spent side. :sneaky: But, they all went farther and higher than I did. Good on ya's!

@Tom the Bomb kills it again with attire that not only matches the Fox logo on his shorts with the bandana, socks, gloves and more, but also the red labels on the wheels and suspension! Do you think he changes wheel decals to match the outfit of the day?
And who's taller - Tom or Burt?

Who was on the very bright and aptly named Intense?

Very entertaining photos. Thanks for posting.

Love the one of J.J. soaked... that pretty much tells you all you need to know about the ride! And 2,600 calories... no wonder everyone was bonking, that's a load of energy there!

Thanks for looking after Jake out there! REALLY appreciated. I swapped out the rear q/r for a Shimano XT one, and ZERO issues. I think it was the junky Bontrager one that's been on there all along causing the problems (he's on third derailer right now).
Always go with Shimano for q/r is advice I know, just need to follow!

Then we should have another Skyline Ride this year.

I'd be happy to lead such a ride except
    1) I'm slower than most, and
    2) I've never ridden it. :whistling:

All I can say is I can't believe it's been close to 10 years since I have done this ride. I started out feeling pretty good but was definitely feeling it by the end of the day. Still one of the best rides I've done in a long time. It was great to meet a few of the members I have not yet met. Can't wait until the next one.

He got off his bike and I had to shield my eyes from the sun! The guy was 7'! His bike fit him perfectly. Missed ya Herz!
