Hi all, I've been off the bike for 2 weeks and itching to get out on the trails. Anyone up for a ride in the SMMs this Sunday 2nd? Trail suggestions welcome.

If there is interest then perhaps we can make this a weekly / regular thing...

There is nowhere more I would like to be then there. But I have commitments on Sunday morning. I require you guys have a blast... and hit some sweet singletrack for me!

 

If the Santa Monica Mountains were not on the other side of Los Frickin' Angeles, I'd be all over it.

But I can't stomach driving through LA more than once a year. Have a blast!!!

Hi Tom, wish I could ride Sunday morning, but have Rattlesnake training and then soccer in the AM hours. I may ride later in evening as things cool off, most likely a nice loop through Dos Vientos, Let me know if your interested.

 

The drive up is great in the morning. When I went a few weeks ago at O'Dark Thirty, I was the only one on the roads!

Notice that I didn't mention anything about the return trip later in the day.

First place that comes to mind is the backbone trailhead on Kanan, next to the tunnel. Small parking lot there.
Out and back to corral is a great route.

Hi all, reviving this thread to see if anyone is up for a ride in the SMM's this Sunday Dec 4th? Thinking maybe Sycamore Canyon but open to suggestions.

 

You might wanna keep your ride options for Sunday....easy. While PCE is not a lot of climbing....it is chunky, and you will feel beat up afterward.

 

Dang! Sycamore Cyn trailhead off Wendy Dr is only 1/2 mile from my house. But I'm riding Mount Wilson on Sunday, next time for sure. Can show you the special stuff out there sometime.
