Can't believe we don't have a running trail conditions thread for my home range so here it is.
Post up trail conditions related to our beloved San Gabes.

Brown Mtn to KB is in amazing shape.

El P is also very good with numerous stream crossings

KB weathered the storms with just one washout. 3 trees are down once you drop into the Arroyo. Stream crossings get deeper as you move down the canyon.

Chantry-Zion is looking good but LWC is a rock-hopping stream fording mess. Still rideable and fun. Just be prepared

Haines and Blue bug are challenging and totally rideable

Strawberry Peak needs to be explored.....anyone interested?

    Just a small nit...

If'n yer gonna give us trail conditions, you might want to use the trail's name instead of code. Just sayin'. :whistling:

    KB? LWC?

KB(Ken Burton ) is kiss butt

LWC (Upper/lower winter creek) is long, white,.....Cadillac

Get out and ride some and you'd know what I was talking about!

But this isn't Trailhead, so we can't talk about it.

Worthy thread – TFPU, rossage. I'm sure it will do wonders in helping extract me from behind the Orange Curtain.

Neighboring the San Gabes are the San Rafael Hills, home of Cherry Canyon and the Catalina Verdugo Trail (Gendale Sports Complex).

Cherry is in fine shape for the most part. Catalina Verdugo is CLOSED and wow, it is a mess! I rode it after our first big wave of rain went through a month or so ago. Many landslides with bushes down, rock piles everywhere, and the edges of the trail along much of the way are split as though the whole darn mountain side is going to slide.

Chantry-Zion is in great shape. Couple of trees down, a few new slides, nothing major. Lots of water in the stream crossings and waterfalls raging!
    Get some!

See how steep that mountain side is? You don't wanna go over there, trust me.

    Sure-footed beast of burden.
That's not an easy trail in either direction. Then throw four 5-gallon propane cans on your back, and do it barefoot!

Awesome pics @rossage !! Love the "shrooms".... I haven't hit chantry in a while, I need to get me some and soon! @SoCalRider we rode CVT last night with the OTB's and it has been worked on and is all rideable now. Did not see any signs of trail closure.

Have fun doing the fallen tree limbo. I hear the big tree we scrambled over on the backside is still there

No limbo for me if I'm going solo. I'll find a other route unless someone wants to join in the Carnival fun!

I rode from Red Box to the Colby trailhead and back. 15.5miles, 2300ft climb, 3 trees cut, miles of smiles....

There are a couple of big downed trees but they are easy to get over or around. I saw the Mcguires and Kanga heading put that way with some big handsaw so they may be history

If anyone has ridden the Gabrielino from Red box to Switzers or West fork, post up conditions so we know what to expect
