So this thread will not likely apply to any dedicated, I'll-never-ride-a-road-bike, die-hard mtb riders, but for those of us that still ride even when the dirt is unavailable, I have a dilemma:

I'm trying to get into Zwift, since staring at the garage door on the trainer kinda sucks. I have a Kinetic T-2700 Smart trainer with InRide sensor, but I can't get Zwift to detect it. I don't know if it's the laptop (a few years old, but the Kinetic sensors are visible by an even older tablet running the Kinetic app), or the trainer.

According to the Zwift website, it should work. But nothing will show up and pair in Zwift's initial screens.

Anyone else out there have ideas????

Zwift native support for Bluetooth and Windows isn't there yet. You'd need to link through the companion application if you want to use your (assume) Windows laptop.

I bought a trainer for my road bike once, thought a great idea!
used it and talk about boring... :gag: ...I could deal for short periods with the boredom but the static position hurt my back. I found that I need to move around a lot or it just plain hurts for a day or two after. This is my experience with a trainer, YMMV.

Now go have fun playing your Bike riding video game and have a great old time! Once it works... :)

Nothing is like being ballz deep in a raging peloton 9-wide and a quarter mile long.

I figgered it out. This could actually be addicting. :whistling: EDIT: It was the ancient tablet I was using; it couldn't handle the companion app, even though it downloaded and installed. Switched to the phone for that et voila!!!

Interesting (and way more enjoyable than without it) way to use the trainer....I've never been to New York's Central Park, but I'll bet it doesn't really look like this:

Zwift races are some of the best workouts you can get.

I just discovered it doesn't have to be a race. But I think I'll keep it.
