Hah! Nice, very nice! Dug the snow fall at the end.
How many miles is the Rainbow Trail? Thought many times of going out to do it. Is it a destination trail? Are there other trails out there as well? Could that be a Cathy trail as well? :)
    Thanks for sharing!!!

Been over 5 years since I have been out there need to go back. Absolutely the best singlespeed trail I have ever rode. Rode 32x16 on a niner and could have gone bigger gears.

Yes designation trail. Mainly because there is nothing out there. Logging at Grand Canyon Lodge takes years to get a room, lots of camping. Jacob Lake has room but many miles away from the trailhead. One day Rainbow Rim and a couple days on the Arizona Trail. Area ready made for Bike Camping.

No winter riding they close the road just past Jacob Lake for the winter. Many do snow bike packing out of Jacob Lake. The ranchers are still out there taking care of the lifestock and a few forest service employees stay at Grand Hotel https://reservations.foreverresorts.com/ReservationCalendar.do?propertyKey=181 .

It is a 18 mile long trail , best to camp in the middle & to do out & back 9 miles each way, not what we did 18 out & 18 back & 18 in the snow, would recommend July, great place for you & Cathy. .Thank you!

I read somewhere that camping is not allowed at Locust Point anymore. Can't find the source right now. I think it was because they consider Locust to be a trailhead and they don't allow camping within 1/4 mile of one. Too bad cuz it's a great spot at mid point of RR

Don't worry about what they say to do, nobody is out there. Western Spirit might bring in a van now and then but it is a long way from everything.
