I think Ti is better suited for hardtail....but that is just me. I don't think you get the benefits of Ti in a FS design.

They call it a 29-140......so one would be safe to assume that it is a 140mm travel bike....yes? No where in the description of the frame or bike do they indicate the rear travel. If it is indeed a 140mm travel frame....WTH are they spec'ing it with a 120mm fork?

I agree with J. I wouldn't buy a FS titanium bike. Also the geo numbers for that frame are pretty weird. Long chain stays, slack seat tube angle, reach on the short side, super high bottom bracket. Very odd.

  4. The Ti verse AL or CF or even Steel is valid, but really designers choice at how stiff it can turn out. a Ti front triangle can be stiffer than an AL or CF one if designed to be so.

Holding out for specific reviews if anyone has actually own or ridden a Lynksey FS

With our small sample size here.....doubt your are going to be much response for a bike that most don't even know about.

http://www.whycycles.com/ I looked at this titanium bike at the Sedona Bike festival. It had a burly, solid, no way you can break it type of look while also being a nice looking bike. For a Titanium bike it wasn't light. I thought my Hightower was lighter when I picked it up.

I love the Horst bike I have right now, (Chumba XCL) but after riding newer linkages, (And Horst links on newer bikes,) I have no desire for another Horst.

I have a 2017 Lynskey Ridgeline FS 29 140 that I have ridden for about a year and a half absolutely love it. Rode it up at Trestle bike park 12 times last year and Angel Fire 6 times advanced intermediate trails. I live in Colorado and most of the trails I ride are rocky and technical. I have a friend who has a Santa Cruz Hightower LT and I’ve ridden his bike a few times and I think the Lynskey is just as stiff and I like the handling on mine a little better. He has said he could comfortably ride mine at the bike parks and he is a thru and thru Santa Cruz fan.
I’m getting a new bike with more travel and am thinking of keeping the Lynskey for the mellower trails that I ride.
    Hope this helps

If your friend is still interested I have mine listed on Pinkbike. I was going to keep it bout my new bike a Pole Machine is awesome so I don’t think the Lynskey will get slit of ride time
    Thanks

Wow! It's been 3 months of analysis paralysis and I almost was going to go with this frame but didn't. I did however go with the bike frame set pictured above. Lynskey 29 140.
