What kinda mtn bike are you riding?
Where are you riding?
Gotta give us something.
All we ask is that you participate. Don't be a lurker.
Ride lots....post lots.
We have something here for everyone.
I just bought my bike a week ago I’m still working on it, like maintenance and a few upgrades, I have a trek fuel ex8 and I’ll be heading to my first ride this weekend
What position do you take on stickers?
Welcome from south OC...
It’s a great sport and easy to get hooked on. Good luck on the maiden voyage.
(fellow Trek owner here)
Welcome aboard. Don't be scarce.
@Manny did - So... Where are you headed on the maiden voyage?
I have Marshall canyon in mind, it looks to be good for beginners?
Welcome to the madness. You're in Tinkers old hood and close to Turnbull Canyon. I think thats the closest dirt trails to you.
I've only been up that way once, but there are some guys on here who ride there all the time. Hopefully one will chime in, and give you some route pointers on beginner friendly stuff. . @DangerDirtyD - Calling Wolfman. Wolfman, come in.
Yes all the beginners advice is welcome lol
Good beginner advice.....any ride I post up, that may or may not include the word Death March or Quick Spin May be perfect for you.

Rule #1 Don't follow Josh.
Rule #2 Don't follow Jason?
Welcome. My piece of advice is don't give up. I had some horrible first rides, because I was a) in horrible shape and b) usually had no idea where I was going. I walked up a lot of hills. A lot. I'm still by no means a climb crusher. Just enjoy the ride, stop and smell the roses if you need a break and find enjoyment in small victories. The beauty of riding is it can be a solo and group sport. You can always progress and your limits are only your own, but you can always go out on rides and enjoy them just as much with people above and below your fitness and skill level. When you can, try to ride with people that are faster than you.
Oh and if you ever want to ride Oaks or Laguna, hit me up.
Perfect. Every new rider should read this.
Yeah, nothing wrong with pushing your bike. Seriously, walking your bike up a hill, or down one is 100% okay.
As long as you get back on it and ride the next day!
@Manny did welcome! Keep the rubber side down!
