Heading up to Big Bear next month for a few days with my girls early next month. We like to ride the skychair to the top of SS and back down but the price is ridiculous.

Does anyone know if there is somewhere (not from SS directly) to buy tickets in advance at a discounted price?

SS is a bargain compared to other lift-served bike parks. You can buy discounted tickets in advance from SS/Bear Mt. Resorts directly, but I don't know of any other source that's cheaper. Do your waivers in advance!

Oh, and I think you can still buy a single ride ticket.

Random questions thread is more like specific complaining about prices thread.

    Which is more enjoyable:

    Farting in a spacesuit?
    Or pissing in a wetsuit?

cruising down a mountain at 8200 feet $45.90
having lunch on a rock outcropping with some cold cervas $20
tourist tax and gov Brown tax $1.50
Not having to climb that mountain all day to get 1000 feet in 10 minutes
    priceless

I would keep my astronauts in a space suit for 6 hours, are you sure they only farted? We would hold them upside down for a bit and their yellow Gatorade would puddle in their mask, at least I think it was Gatorade

I saw that but that it still equates to nearly $60 for the three of us to do the 10 minute ride up and the 10 minute ride down. Somebody is making a killing on us tourists.

Maybe it should have been the "I have a very specific question about Snow Summit lift tickets" thread. Or perhaps a post within the Snow Summit thread. :whistling:

Seems to me all forms of entertainment have a steep price tag - movies, museums, water parks, climbing walls, mini golf, lunch - it's all $60 or more for three people. :bang:

    Best wishes!

Hmmm, now you are getting into the definition of "being." This is getting very metaphysical. We may need to call in Hamlet.

    Or... just go e-prime. https://litemind.com/e-prime/

It's harder than.... ooops, try again...

I find it to be... Crap... one more try

I find writing in e-prime a refreshing linguistic challenge.
(Wait - is "to be" implied in that sentence?)

I struggle with writing in e-prime.
    Whew! I did it!

    Next question:

Where can I get me a bug net for my head?

I see them offered online but do any of the regular So Cal chain stores offer them?

It's REI. Use it for a year and exchange it for a new one. Isn't that the only reason to shop there?

If you already know you can get one for $5 online, why haven't you purchased one? Yes, things are more expensive at brick and mortar stores. If you want them all to go away, keep purchasing from online retailers.

That's not the first time you've said "somebody is making too much money" on something - I think it was Snow Summit tickets earlier in this thread. I think you should calculate the profit margins of these businesses to see how these "fat cats" are rolling in the dough selling bug nets and lift tickets!
