I guess they give things away instead of shock pumps when you buy a fork nowadays. I don’t mind the shock pump collection.

It says Rockshox on it. You know, big, angled and bleeding like they do it. They all look rad, come to think. But it is rad.

Got a fender on order for the new fork. That little piece of plastic dramatically reduces dirt build up on the seals and prevents about 90% of the dirt and water from hitting you in the face.
Make your own from a piece of 2mil plastic and some zip ties.

There’s a bunch of products out there that are including mudguards with their purchase. I saw some knee pads that used the plastic mudguard as part of their packaging. Pretty clever.

I’ve never actually heard the rationale laid out for using one of them. Thanks!!! Er... SOLD!?!

Now go test your fork, pal. :geek: I’m not budging until the green tea is gone and the rays are hitting me broadside.

That plastic they sell tires looped through is the right size, just need a better cut. Maxxis? Specialized? Cheng Shin? You listening?

First set I used I made. Got 2 roll-up cutting "boards" from the 99¢ store. Cut them up following a download template. Worked great so I decided to get some production ones.
SKS Flap guards are my favorites.
Ass-Savers, look good, have a funny name, but I just don't get enough seal coverage. Ass coverage is fine...

I have a Spank branded one that came in one of the grab-bags from Hell Ride yesterday. Looks like they normally come attached to a set of handlebars, which is pretty cool. Mounting it today!

I've never had a fender, would like to be rad looking. How do I pick it up from you? Can I offer some beans (home roasted coffee) for it?

Swing on by, @siata94. I’ll be in Truckee for a few more weeks. :gotnothing::(

Alternatively, you could mail me a SASE that will hold a flat 10.5 x 9.75” object and 4 zip ties, and the rad fender will magically show up where it’s addressed.

It’s kind of you to offer the beans. I got off the coffee train many years ago. If you’re on a mission to balance worldly karma, drop by OC Animal Care in Tustin (the County shelter), say hello to some beautiful but displaced animals, and give the good folks there some beans or whatever you can spare. :notworthy::)

Whatever blows your hair back! :D

Truckee is a bit far to meet :). I'm sure a local could use one. Thank you.

We do frequent the new shelter in Tustin. It is hard to see so many of them there. We have also submitted applications with local pit rescue groups
and anxiously waiting to hear back, most notably from:

Super rad, my friend. That would make a sweet fender graphic!

Okay, thanks for tuning in, y’all. I’ll go ahead and mount the fender on my fork then. Because it may extend the life of the fork. Or my eyes. It has zero hope of making me radder than I’m not, so I’ll take what I can get.:cool:

I knew some local could use one, just didn't think it'd be a shock pump hoarder.

Fender or no fender, you're already bitchen rad. Just don't believe everything you read on the internet!!! haha.

Thanks for the nudge, Ross. :)

The status-quo big-tilted-bleeding-logo graphics are a cop out. I'm thinking a nice wet, pink tongue with a couple IMTBT blotter tabs laid nicely atop. The little front part will be the esophagus. The monkey-see/do sh¡t stops here.

I hear you. Obnoxious logos suck! Just flip it over so it faces the tire.

I just got rid of mine, it stuck out front, gets in the way of racks, and it didn't really do any thing.
