Little roller, maybe a 4.? somewhere nearby?

 

I just felt it too...

I had just stood up and thought I was taking a dizzy spell until I saw the TV wobbling..

It's an 8.3!!! ... nope. Cali has been threatening me with the big one for 30 years now.

 

Gonna Be a bump couple next hours... days

 

We felt it out at Sharky’s in Calabassas. Yum!

 

From the long period rolling I felt, I figured it was a ways away, but that is really far to feel it that much here. We had a smaller one right under us early Sunday morning and we slept right through it.

 

Felt it down here in Del Mar...

 

Here in OC the wife felt it, I though did not.

 

Felt it in Simi. There's already been 24 aftershocks in the area after the 6.4.

Dunno know what to make of this but according to the USGS website, there was twin 6.4s this morning 2 minutes apart up there and it looks like 3 or 4 dozen aftershocks so far.

UPDATE: second 6.4 pulled from the chart.

 

That explains why I fell off my surfboard...

I hope our intrepid Wrightwooders weren't knocked off the trail!

Beautiful Trona, you can smell the town before you get there.

 

I was just about to step onto a ladder up to my roof when the shake started. D'oh!

 

those little black hills in the back are Lava. We did not feel it in the Conejo. That is because the Conejo is on the same thing as those little black hills. I believe the true center is below the Coso volcanic zone. The aftershocks are spreading southwest perpendicular to the San Angelo fault.

I used to do occasional trips to Trona to do building maintenance. It smells for sure but is an interesting place with an interesting history.

We didn’t feel a thing thankfully! My daughter was working at Lululemon in Valencia, they felt it pretty strong, she was freaking out a little bit!

Did anyone feel the 5.4 aftershock this morning at 4:07? I slept through it but my daughter was awoken by it.
