Props to Maxxis

so I was given a Maxxis Rekon 2.4 tire a ways back as payment for some garage time. I went to mount the tire last week for True Grit.

couldn’t use it because of this:



Figured I would just scrap the tire. Well Monday I decided to submit a warranty claim with Maxxis. Wednesday I got a repla saying that my claim was valid and that they would be sending me out a new tire.

Quick reply, hopefully quick shipping.

 

Had a similar situation on a new DHF. Exchanged no problem through The Path.

 

One of my friends mounted up a tire like that, he just rides it.

Bare in mind he has low power, endurance, or skill.

 

I had a front tire that was not nearly as bad as this, tried to run it..:.but it just drove me mad.

 

I have a new Assagei and DHRII waiting to go on. For that kind of cash, I would get not being satisfied

 

For sure. The guy I got this one from, bought 2 at the same time. He went to mount the other one....same thing.

 

Well.....looky what showed up today......



4 days total from warranty submission to receiving replacement.

 

Shame it didn't come with shoes.
