So I haven't seen this as a sticky or other thread. But I'm sure everyone has a go-to for a post-ride, post-epic, or post-race food and/or beverage. It kind of completes the day. Also, for those venturing beyond the confines of what they can ride to, or who may be unaware of a gem right under their noses, this should be where we post those places "Friendly" to the MTB crowd...show them a little love.

Go To after a 12-hour of Temecula Race: In-N-Out Double-Double and Fries, both Animal Style, and a shake, or when IHOP has both the all-you-can-eat pancakes and all-you-can-eat french fries at the same time.

Go To after a long ride that starts and ends in my 'hood: Wise Guys...great selection of beer and pizza.

Go To after a ride or race that's blazing hot: 7-11 Slurpee. Sometimes 2. Sometimes 3.

I'm sure there's some long riding going on this weekend and next...so what's your "Go To"?

All epics that start/end from the Holy Jim side of the mountain.....Los Primos for a Monster Burrito

Got To after a hot ride......I agree with the 7-11 Slurpee or a smoothie from Bagel Me

    1. Anything within 50 miles of Big Bear must include a stop at Rocky's. I'm still dreaming about the Italian sub I had last weekend. I'd put their subs against any NY subs... And with that, I must relinquish my "Born in NY" card. :p

    2. And I agree with J about Los Primos in RSM. It's a great beginning location for some large loops. Their food is worth a 50 miler... Just don't flirt with the waitress. She'll screw up your order. :D:p

    3. You'll all laugh at this one, but I always have a shot or two of espresso when I get home after a big ride... It helps for some reason.

Before all else I have a beer. After that depending on where I'm at I like Sharky's or Chipotle. If I ride Sycamore Canyon or Space Mountain I go to Dog Haus for a burger. If I ride from home it could be anything from a giant plate of nachos to a turkey and avocado sandwich.

Food & Beer, the two reasons I ride my bike so darn much...

Breakfast is a no brainer and it's Subway breakfast precisely(ish) one hour before ride time. The local Subway gals get pissed at us if we don't stop by at least a couple times a month. Most rides are pretty much timed by whatever time Subway opens.

Post ride requires an ice cold Shocktop just to get me to the real food & watering hole.

Anywhere's near home it's Casa Luptas, good food, cold beer and sassy waitresses...

North of the border it's Mikes Pizza simply because they have the most giant frozen mugs full of 805 (If any of you tell my inlaws I go there I promise your bike will be broken in half as they own the other local pizza parlor).

Anywhere near Big Bear it's Rockys.

All other areas find a Rubios.

In a bind Habit or In-n-Out will work fine however no beer.

Sadly, I don't have many go tos for food after riding. I hit Wahoos after Whiting-Luge-Whiting often. It's not the best food, but it's where we park. I go home and eat after my local rides. I used to hit Tres Hombres in Woodland Park, Breckenridge Brewery, El Jacalito in Big Bear back when I used to ride cool places. Does Girabaldi Lift Company count?

Go to Moose Hill Cantina on West Colfax after your Apex ride, if it's still in business. Say hi to Beverly the owner, if she still owns it.

EDIT: Did some research. Yes it's still open. No Beverly no longer owns it. Sold it to an underling.

I don't have any go toes, just what ever is good and convenient. Good is subjective, and subject to change any moment.

I usually lead our shop mtb rides on Saturdays. After the fact, I often enjoy a musubi and espresso from Kona Loa Coffee, in Mission Viejo.
Not that epic I admit, but I normally pack my lunch, so that's my little endulgance.

OK OK OK, after a long hot lap or two with some extra extra credit thrown in, me and my buds usually go down over to the ... wait a minute, I've never actually seen you on the Floop. Hmmm

Based on what happened in Wrightwood, I’d say you have ten mf go toes, pal. Maybe eleven.

I gotta say, after the Luge and Brews ride last month the chicken tacos and Towne Park beer were fabulous at Cooks.
