    Certainly the most "human" insect of the insect world. The way they turn their head to look directly at you while standing upright is quite unique.

    This one is a female. The males are smaller and slender and they have wings that will allow them to fly for short distances.

    They do however have one characteristic I am happy to say that they don't share with humans. The female generally eats her mate. :eek::laugh:

    This is an orphaned deer raised by a nearby family. It was likely to come in and hang out on our couch like a dog- ticks and all. The family will remove this deer and take it with them for the winter as it's unlikely it can survive the winter in this area having been raised and fed by humans as a family pet.
