Maybe worse. I'm an old MTB rider who followed Mother Nature's suggestion to ride into my 60's on something more becoming my lack of talent. I've fallen into the Gravel scene for better or worse. I do sport 2.1 Icons on the Cutthroat however.

 

DooD! 2.1 on a Cyclocross bike is relatively gnarly. Any chance you would measure them for me?

 

I saw that exact setup recently and it looked pretty freaking awesome…

I just put a 2.1 on the front of the Sutra, courtesy of @Stkx66 , but haven’t ridden it yet. I’m looking forward to trying it on Lukens or Cherry Canyon…

 

@DangerDirtyD My 2.2 Icons are mounted to Mavic Crossmax Pro rims, 22mm internal width. I run the fronts at 20psi and the rears at 24psi. The fronts measure 2.21" and the rears 2.18". I currently tip the scales at 182lbs. I'm guessing I have about 1200 - 1500 miles on them and they are still in surprisingly good shape

You could always jump on the Southwest Chief in Dodge City... Train travel is much more civilized.

 

My sis moved to Missery. She took her Cal real estate and became Missery Rich. Bentonville is just south of the boarder and is supposed to be Mtn Bike heaven. You get those Ozark canyons and water in the bottom of every one. I do not understand when they say water, but I assume it would be fun. Next time I go to visit I am bringing my bike. And a fishin' pole.

We're going to go ride Bentonville in October. Those Wal-Mart boys have set off an MTB bonanza all over the state....Bella Vista, Hot Springs, Mount Ida and on and on
