Pix of strange or unusual things found on your ride...

This thing has been laying in the trail all week.....anyone dare to venture a guess as to what it is? You guys ever find strange things when you are out riding?

I don't know about strange, but I saw a used condom at the top of the hike-a-bike part of Lizards once. I feel like I missed out on the show. I did not take a pic though.

 

It's a negative air chamber depressurizer.

What did you think it is?

 

I thought I was Brazen Pump used to bleed the kneuter valve...still not sure lol

 

We've all seen things that make you go WYF, and the ones that are Oh Yay! And so much in between.

Rode up on a cute lady with a photographer doing a topless shoot in the tunnel going into whiting.
Soon as she saw me she covered herself up. Haha....like it wasn't going to be on the internet in a couple hours.

A quite large turtle on the road in oneil in 2008. Not strange, but not common.

A large lizard about 18" long in a type I've never seen before, that was also in oneil about 20 years ago. A guy walking by saw it and reach into the hole it ran into and pulled it out. Probably someones released pet. And the guy? His arm got shredded by the claws. who would have seen that coming...

 

A few bison and one TX Longhorn were by far the strangest thing’s I’d ever come across on the trail

 

First thing I thought was "power bong."

 

Lots of different kinds of photo shoots going on out on Blackstar Canyon Rd. Sorry no pics.

Apparently there was a wizard on one of the rides.....I wasn't there, but pics do exist.

 

I didn’t take any pics (nor would I want to) but the strangest thing I’ve ever seen on the trail was a girl down on knees going to town on her man at a ferocious speed.

 

I know I've seen some odd things, just can't remember them all.
Prolly half a dozen topless/nude/lingerie photoshoots.
A guy running barefoot at 4 Corners when it had a foot of snow.
Coolest thing I've seen recently was a huge green sea turtle. Not on a MTB, but SUP in Huntington Harbor.

 

This reminds me of the guy from the radavist's original blog Prolly is not probably. Just a rewind to the early days of blogs and the "fixed gear," culture.

As a kid, we used to walk down to Little Corona beach after school to boogie board or surf. That was or maybe still is an often-used spot for topless photo shoots. My friends and I saw waaay more topless women before 7th grade than any kid should. Not that we ever complained.

 

Is there any other appropriate speed when in the wild??!! She must have been a single speeder...bwhahahaha

 

Soooo much “strange” stuff in the Vegas desert. Where to start????? The proud miniature in there was my addition. Found him on the trail and gave him a new home.

Agreed. It’s always in the desert, regardless of the state, where I see the most unusual art. It’s where people go to trip out on drugs. And then they get creative.

Guys.... it's a motor of some type.

 

Outboard boat motor.

 

Had to zoom in, its a pressure plate with an al ally housing attached below AKA a tranny. I don't know what is on top. But the flywheel is ready for a starter motor. On top is normally a bell housing. The mounting bracket for the bell and starter mounting position are still there. That cutout at the bottom was the rear mount at one time
