Lucky me! I gets to go back up to Bishop for a three-day/night arch gig! I'm bringing the bike, lights, and several layers for a jaunt or two in the eastern Sierras and/or White Mountains, hence the Owens Valley Taco.

Maybe San Canyon MTB Trail, maybe Lower Rock Creek, maybe a gravel grind up Silver Canyon to the ancients: Nighttime with the ancients is magical.

Possible Bail-Outs: Really? If you're crazy enough to rendezvous in Bishop, you'd be, well, crazy to bail-out mid-ride.
Facilities: Must be >200' from a water feature to poo or pee.
Food/water suggestions: Bring food and water. Wear several layers, booties, skull cap, winter gloves, etc. Wool is ideal.

Project postponed indefinitely due to weather. No Owens Valley Taco. Joink! Taketh Bishop away! It could be worse on multiple levels. Oh well...next time.

 

Well... The general foreman stepped in and said the project is a go. The weather will be interesting. I am heading back to Bishop. This only cost maybe an extra $20,000 due to the miscommunication. Who wants to ride Lower Rock Creek Trail tonight?

Worked late tonight due to afternoon arrival. Just a putt-putt on the two-tracks along McGee Creek beneath a full moon. Some sandy areas but overall a solid experience. The snow in the sierras lit up like a lamp. Total lunacy.

SCE wanted to try Wyman Canyon again tomorrow but no dice. Officially postponed until June or July. Something to look forward to I hope.
