Nice to see a Mongoose tear it up again.

 

I put this in the forum "Videos" intentionally so it might stand out instead mixed in one of many. "Pure stoke and amazing riding" thread I don't bother looking at regularly, not sure why, maybe because several of the videos I didn't care for.

 

Was it really necessary to point out that this vid had already been posted in another thread? Most of us ignore grammatical mistakes and mis-spellings like when someone uses the word "bare" instead of "bear" and I think this falls in the same category. Please be courteous and overlook what you perceive to be a blunder. Besides, if you want more posts, you should have thanked scan for posting the vid up in another spot.

 

Thank you for the lecture. I did "like" Scan's post immediately, and he knows me and I know him, so we can exchange a little ribbing, as did mtnbikej, who actually beat me to it. I didn't point out the misspelling you are referring to either, but I did make a little joke to the person who did point it out. Let's not get all sensitive up in here. No one's being rude or aggressive.

 

You're welcome! Anyone can benefit from a little lecture once in a while! Liking a post does not acknowledge that your post may have been inappropriate and unnecessary. I know scan too. We've been on about a dozen rides including a couple road trips. He's a great guy and probably didn't think it worthwhile to call a foul on your post. I do think it's worthwhile because I don't think it helps the site to point out people's foibles. Perhaps I should have done it with a PM.

Just a couple more bullet points. Since mtnbikej already beat you to it, your post becomes even more unnecessary. Also, if the little "bare/bear" jokes, which I know you did not initiate, were not rude, then why were they removed from the "Happy New Year" thread? Obviously we've never met and what little we know about each other is limited to our interactions on this site but we are part of the imtbtrails family so we share a lot of common ground. All families have their problems however, and in this case I noticed one and thought it needed to be addressed. Please feel free to lecture me whenever you notice a problem related to me as well.

 

Wait, what happened to my post on the Happy New Year thread? I thought it was really cute actually.

 

Nevermind. The faux pas was elsewhere.

 

Huh? What? Oh, I got the wrong thread. Maybe my wife is right about the alzheimer's kicking in already! Well, Mikie should of removed those little bare bear jokes from that thread to! Now get off my lawn so I can go grumble about something else!

Seriously now, despite my foe-paw I hope some lesson are learned. Word misusage, incorrect grammar, auto-correct mishaps and of course the dreaded double posting should simply be ignored. No productive purpose is served by pointing them out and regardless of intent, doing so can create hurt feelings and discourage people from venturing out with subsequent posts on this site. At least everyone may have got a laugh or some entertainment value out of all this even if it was at my expanse! It did generate some additional posts! I only hope that people can figure out how to find all this using the "New Posts" feature!

 

I hate it when people write "breaks," instead of "brakes." But, my grammar sucks so I can let it slide.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest this song was written before THC was pushing 30%.

The "trails" and areas in that video...I was as much captivated by all of that as I was the riding. Someone probably knows where it was shot.

Yea, I see it there regularly. I prefer to avoid ongoing reminders of my lack of skill and fitness.

 

Yeah, that and I just like to stir the pot once in a while! And it did create a lot of new posts and more people watched the video!
