newbie!

What up! New to this group and was referred to by a local riding buddy. I'm a gravity/enduro rider looking for some experienced people or group rides to tag along with. Getting tired of the trail system out here in Santa Clarita, so I thought id reach out and see what else is out there. Cheers with beers everyone!

Welcome Eric. I’m on the other side of the traffic jam on the 5fwy in Sylmar.
I post rides in the San Gabes, Verdugos and the Santa Monica’s. Keep an eye out for those rides.

 

Right on! Thank you..will keep an eye out. Another reason its hard for me to get out of town and explore is the damn traffic! haha

 

Welcome @nkprf13 ... I'm from Castaic and know first hand how Tapia and surrounding areas can get boring after a while especially with the loss of G-Out. Not a lot of gravity/enduro stuff around here but if your willing to pedal to the top there's lots of other great riding not too far away. Me & @Mikie pretty much drive all over hell and back to find entertaining rides and not get bored with the same old dirt. If you're willing to drive an hour or so there's Pinos/Golden Eagle/P12/AT/Wrightwood/Simi/San Gabes/Santa Monica's/Ojai etc etc... I've come to consider any ride within a 1-1/2 hour drive window to be local. Many times the drive is as long as the ride itself but it's not so bad if you share the road rage with a good riding buddy. Lots of times ride plans don't come together till last minute but if ya keep your eyes open there's always something.

 

Down in Oceanside but this is basically the truth for us as well. I find I don't mind the gridlock on the drive home nearly as much if I'm not driving.

Yes the loss of G-out was sad. P12 is my current favorite very well done trails. You say Wrightwood eh? never knew there was riding out there.. will have to check out.

I do gravity to the extent that it gets me to the bottom of the hill. But I don't ride a squishy bike.
