New member(kinda) first post

Hello,

I signed up a few years ago when new to today's MTB , but never posted. I forgot about this site(on a few others) but here I am again. It's good to have a local site for info.
I usually ride mid week (Tue-Wed) 1-2 days a week at most..XC-trail in Laguna, Mission Viejo, San Clemente, Fullerton Loop, Whiting and a few other places. I mainly ride solo, but also have a group of friends when they are available mid week.

Looking to ride and explore Santiago Oaks.

 

Soon you'll be asked if you ride a Santa Cruz, just say you're a single speed Chameleon rider, it's ok it's a internet Lie. Don't put up an avatar, wait for the given one suggested by oldies. Don't tell anyone you even own a battery much less an E-bike. Act like you've never heard of one. Pretty much that's it. Welcome

 

My tv remote is solar powered, and I only feed my turtles green smoothies, but they aren't sissies; they know how to handle a plastic straw.

Santiago is the closest trail for me. I’ll show you around. Post up when you plan on riding. Lots of peeps here ride Oaks A LOT MORE than I do. I’m sure someone can hook you up.

There are other mtb sites? Would not have known that.... Although I've checked out pink bike, but don't care for it.

 

Ya, I've ridden there once a couple years ago and have some trail routes mapped out for Garmin, just need to get out there soon. It's always a bit more fun/easier with a guide.

 

Dood, good move and welcome back. Connect for some rides with these OC guys and you will get fun and fitness in whatever quantities you can handle. They's good people.

Do you ride a SC? It better be a Hightower, or better yet, a Chameleon....bonus points if you run it SS.

I ride Oaks....alot....but my rides are usually not on the shorter side.

Ride lots, post lots.....participation is what makes this place go round.

Well, now that your posting on here time for a pro tip. There are some weirdos on this site so be aware specifically of the spandex yielding riders whom do 5 million mile rides with Everest like elevation gains. And those are the "normal" ones if ya catch my drift so don't say I didn't warn ya! Welcome!

 

@tbarnesarc - oddly enough, the big mileage guys don't wear lycra/spandex (well, except for @Mikie and the roadie version of @UPSed).

But caution is advised nonetheless.

 

I keep thinking when I get in shape I will go back to Lycra just to irritate people, but this Dunlop issue I have is a tuff one to beat.
