Got this for my niece’s first b-day! I’ll probably build it later today. Can’t wait to give it to her, I’m just waiting for the rocker base so she can “ride,” it along side mom and dad while they’re on their peloton.

Oh yeah! She’s gonna be an extreme sports girl! I’ll probably try and get her over to the sky park kiddo trail before the first snow.

 

I'm hoping to be able to report something rad (read: RAD) here tomorrow.

I had a dream that you came to my house and bequeathed me a Minion DHR II. We were just starting to discuss the tailgate pad, and I woke up. The entire process seemed to last 30 seconds, but it probably took 4 hours in my sleep...or is it the other way around? Anyway, I dreamed about you Ed!

 

Are you sure that wasn't a premonition? I went through my tire bin last weekend and it looks like my 2.5WT Aggressor and DHF are a little more worn than I thought. If you're interested, if and when you come out to pick up the tailgate pad, I'll throw those in for a decent spec 12er.

 

We’ll figure it out. If you need the space and can sell it before I make it out that way, all good homie. Otherwise, I still want it. Cant you sneak a label and a box at work?

 

I actually have a box. I can have Jennifer drop it off at the UPS Store. Shouldn't cost more than $20 to ship. I'll throw in the tires if you want.

1994 Barracuda A2R with upgraded RockShox JettXC “Long Travel” fork and replaced rear wheel and front pads. Everything else appears to be OG RAD

 

I think if I could go back and be a kid again, I would’ve elected to break a lot more bones trying to learn how to jump.

Just got the call that my bike is assembled and ready to be picked up! I will be at their doorstep first thing tomorrow morning with a 12-pack of their favorite IPA!

Oooh! The Smash is gonna be jealous!

 

I'm so conflicted about who to root for, though there is some divine inspiration at play as well. Nimble 9 frames just became available for pre-order again. All the goodies from the Smash, down to the 30.9 seatpost, could easily be swapped over. Probably with a cassette/derailleur delete. Would just need a new airshaft for the fork, and the SS fixins. The spirit of the Smash could ride on, and satisfy this lingering curiosity I've had. I barely use my Townie any more, and a single speed mtb could easily cover those duties if I freed up its hanging spot in the garage. Thoughts are being thunk.
