Your finished checklist is pretty much what my wish list was... With frames being scarce, I'm glad I missed out on a few of the ones I went after on PinkBike. Except for the Honzo ESD. That would have been a score...

And I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger when Jensen had the Norco in stock... It was close! That looks like a great bike, minus the dropout situation.

and this is scaled back from where they were a couple of years ago when you could count about ten logos from a side view, not including proprietary parts like bearings.

I see the chain don't-stay protector is working normally. I directed Revel to a conversation about that, and they told me it would be addressed with R&D. Meanwhile, Revel will shoot you out a new one if you ask. Not that the same thing will stay on. They reco cranking the new one down with zip ties overnight.

 

If it's a Revel, It may not matter....

 

That was last month. Besides it's in perfect condition so it'd be easy to sell...

Came home from trip to find a box in the garage. Having been reading text messages between my sisters and wife I had a sinking feeling I knew what it was. But I figured if I pretend it didn't exist....

Shortly thereafter it was mentioned that, as I thought, she bought an eBike. , and it was requested I put it together. Ok I can do that, you know happy wife happy life and a that.......

I assembled something that sort of resembled bike. It has a battery, pedals, and about 12" tires. Once completed I hopped on it to see. Well...if ebike are anything like this they ARE DEFINITELY not bicycles. It's not fast, but once you start peddling it takes over and you couldn't pedal fast enough to keep up if you wanted to. But don't need to anyway, it has a throttle! 15 mph and 15 mile range.

It was kind of fun to ride, she likes it much more. Prefect for...hell I don't know what. But she's happy so I'm happy to.

I appreciate the sentiment/condolences.

The bike I did buy her a year ago has about 4 miles on it, so literally like new, and pretty good for what it is. Guess it's going up for sale now.

 

Could be worse. I don't know exactly how, but still. Could be worse.....

 

I have fixed so many flats on those Costco Jetson bikes. They are really gutless....
