My Drug Dealer Can No Longer Get Shimano

Well that’s just it. I built my Hightower SRAM and replacement parts cost a fortune. In my opinion, SRAM does not work any better than Shimano in my experience.

Absolutely correct with one exception. The clutch system in Sram is far superior to that of Shimano. Simply put, the Sram clutch never needs adjustment, it just works.

But in truth, both brands put out reliable drivetrains. And neither one is cheap. You get what you pay for.

My Shimano clutch works great and is serviceable! But then, can't gets parts for Sh!t, which is why many of my "Shimano" items are after market now.

And I prefer Shimano....

 

I bought a complete Shimano XT Derailleur for the same price as a SRAM lower Idler Pulley when one broke on my Hightower.

 

SRAM is launching a complete new line of MTB drive trains and brakes very soon. I got to see them recently and they are really nice looking.

 

I don't really know the low end stuff well anymore. I would think a Microshift with a Sunrace cassette would be cheap and effective? Or, what about the new Shimano CUES system?

Shimano is fine, but WAY over hyped by fanboys. I removed XTR from my bike and replaced it with Sram, because it works better. My bike CAME with XTR, and I spent my own money on Sram, if that tells you anything. I need to sell those parts one of these days.

Current Sram can use any normal 12 speed chain. I have KMC, Sram, and Shimano 12 speed chains all in rotation right now.

 

IDK what to tell you other than that my drug of choice must be better than your's since your drug dealer no longer deals your drugs?
