We needed some chunky climbing and descending to get ready for PCE Friday. Richy Rich, T-2, TJ, Redwoods, Grego and the Trail slayer made up the Bombers today. The place was empty. As we were leaving we would see why. The trail was in good shape with the rain we had yesterday. The climb to Zion was the usual butt pucker. No issues going up. Rich did his duty with his mobile hand saw. We got to the top, took a break and then Rocked the Casbah to the fire road. I clipped a hill side boulder and got pushed to the edge but saved it. We took the ride out to the falls and there was a good flow going. It was a great time with all. Toms Stumpy rental to his son TJ developed a creak and a slightly loos BB but no real issue. We hit the pavement climb out and stopped off at Rubios for some good fixins. The Gourmet chicken tacos were the BOMB! On the way out we were in for a surprise. The damn gate was closed to exit. About 15 min late the POPO showed up to let us out. She said the closure was due to contaminated water. Hmmm. I am sure it had something to do with the government shut down. And we are paying for this?
Great ride Bombers! See you Friday at PCE! Chime in and post your pics.

Great riding with @Tom the Bomb @T-2 @redwoods TJ, Vince and Richy Rich! I would lead the crew up Winter Creek. Pulled some distance and laid the bike down on a sharp hairpin right hander down a slippery rock with exposure on the other side. But no one saw it so it didn't happen. Snapped some pictures of the guys rolling the last chunky part of WC. From there it was new dirt for me. Climbing some steep chit! Vince hot on my tail. Regrouped at the top. Then bombed down some techy chunky goods mostly under a canopy of trees. Smiles and fist bumps all around! Hug out at the water fall for a few. Climbed the paved bitch out back to the start. Sorry, don't know the names of the trails as I type. We got to do this more often.
