Pretty bike. Interesting build. Good price.

The 28/42 is a strange combo. Seems like typical 2x systems are 24/36, 24/38, 26/38 - something in that range. 28/42 is pretty manly.

Is that the just-released Lyric? That's a lot of fork for a 140mm travel frame, particularly if the fork is 27.5 specific. Certainly ups the attraction though.

Regardless, cool bike. I hope you get a buyer.

The fork is a 2014 26 specific Lyrik, and yes that is a lot of fork for that bike. The original owner was building it that way, but you can lower it down. My Devinci has the same rear travel as the Mountain cycle but I run a Fox fork at 160mm and it can be twitchy. So I know that it would be a bit twitchier.

when the 2x10 drivetrain came out a few years ago the 42/28 was a popular setup and you still can find it everywhere. That is an easy fix, just make it a 1x.
