I know I'm going to regret this...........
Letting you Hooligans know I will be on the road at 3:00am Thursday morning on my way to Montana & Idaho looking again for a place to retire in a few years.

So I'm "hoping" that you guys will not trash the place, pick up the empty beer bottles, vacuum, and do the dishes while I'm away. I'll be trying to check in ever once in a while to make sure the place has not been raided by the police. Keep the fridge stocked!

Cisco and T2 got the PNW staked out. NorCal's kind of covered. Tortoise in Zonerland. Cougar in UT. Evdog and mtbMike mobile strike teams. Weasel and me embedded in hotspots. I'd say we're ready.

 

You know the drill @Mikie we have talked about the options.

For the short term I either need a guest bedroom or a nice level spot for my trailer cause once I tow it out there I ain’t bringing it back.

A big chunk of land with your house on on end and mine on the other would work also. I need room to throw up a tin building for a machine shop till I can figure out a way to retire myself.

Hmmm... let's see. Last time @Mikie left us unsupervised, someone started an e-bike lover's thread. I'm not sure how we can top that, without getting into politics. Oh - look. "Morning Joe" is on my TV right now. I agree with everything everybody says on that show!

 

Eagle and Star are both wonderful locations. I just need to apply a little more torque to my wife's arm.

My son went to Boise State so I've been up there plenty. It has it's attributes but due to the influx of people moving in, the entire area is going to be called Metro Boise within 10-15 years as Eagle, Meridian, Nampa are all growing into each other. I'd also convince your wife in a hurry and buy NOW and rent it out if necessary. Prices up there are double to triple what they were in 2012 as it is. If you can handle Montana cold & snow (even though Californians last an average of 3 years there), I'd look up at Hayden, Sandpoint, Sagle or even Bonners Ferry. Montana politics are heading down the Jerry Brown highway so that's another knock.
