Northern AZ is way up there on my list of next MTB road trip destinations. And Dstepper your ride reports over the years combined with the video above are huge factors why I am so excited to see this area for myself. Thanks for the post above as well as sharing your stoke over the years Dstepper. I always appreciate it.

Hey Dean. If you had one day to ride in Prescott, which intermediate level trail would you ride?

Many of the trails in Prescitt are very similar, buff smooth single track. Difference is some in forest some in pinion high desert. I like the forest trails. A good trail to start is Trail 396. Park near White Spar Campground and head up to Senator Highway and return. You can get a map and make a loop of it, it is a area called Gold Lake Trail System. If that is not long enough jump highway 89 at White Spar and climb up towards White spar and return. Any section of the Whiskey 50 route is good except the fireroads.

I want to follow up post-ride here with a thank you to Dean. We rode #396 Goldwater Lakes Trail on our way into Prescott. It was a nice way to cap off a long day in the truck.

The next morning we rode #305 Homestead Trail right from our hotel. It had a similar feel to #396. Another beautiful, flowy trail.

We got done with #305 sooner than expected, so I talked the crew into a "quick" 3 mi ride of the Constellation Trails. Wow! Now those are some fun trails, but a real ass-kicker. It took us 1.5 hrs to ride 3 mi. A seriously technical, challenging ride. Definitely the best 3 mi ride I've ever done.

It's perfectly obvious. He's about to either a) baptize, or b) exorcise his bike.

Haha. That's my buddy checking to see how wet his BB got from crossing to the rock. I've got a whole sequence of shots of him trying to get back to shore and stay dry. I was laughing my ass watching him.

I'm trying to convince my daughter that Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff) is the place to go to college. That way, I can throw the bike in the truck, drive out to visit her, and kill two birds with one stone. Trying to get the wife onboard with this also.:sneaky::thumbsup::whistling:

I trying the same thing with my daughter as well, but she keep on talking about academics, ranking majors ect. I'm, on the other hand, trying to explain to her that those are the insignificant aspect of the whole college experience.

Youth is wasted on the young.

I think it's obvious... He's having trouble with his tubes, and he's looking for leaks. :whistling:
