Wide Tire.....just means the tread pattern is optimized for wider rims.
I resemble that comment...
It actually stands for WIDE TRAIL...
Actually, I think Maxxis' meaning for WT is "wide trail"?
Or, is it "What The _____?!"
So... When I mount that 2.4 WT on my tiny 27mm ID wheel, will I be tempting fate? I'd go with the dual compound version, as it seems I have much better luck with that flavor. The "3C" and I do not get along...
The cerebral deceleration on the top one... damn...
The 2.4 was supposed to go on the front of Jenn's bike to replace a plugged Ardent Race. The WT is not going to work with her skinny Arch EX 21mm internal width rims. I have been wanting to try the 2.4 anyways so that will go on the front of my bike matched with a 2.35 Ikon on the rear. I will just order her another Ardent Race or put the 2.2 Rekon back on.
Up front the 3c is nice...::they wear too quick on the rear.
You can run the WT on a 27mm ID rim, it may just round the profile out a little more.
The blonde in the bottom one manages to make the bike hit the one tree out there...skills!
