Looking for a Yeti 575 for Mrs. Watson...
I've been kicking it around for a while and I decided that I want to get Cathy a Yeti 575.
They made thousands of those and they are a great bike.
Looking for a medium framed, 26'er to keep the stable consistent.
Hoping for at least XT ICE Tech brakes, but will compromise.
Components are not too important as I can change them up as they wear out (I'm an XT guy through and through).

How about a matching ASR5c, except in white? Might be same model year as yours, with Kashima RP23 adaptive logic rear shock and RLC 140 front (tapered 15QR kashima). Figure that should at least put her on even ground with you if you are planning to have some rides together. Yours is the race build, right? I can put the same on it, in at least excellent condition, mainly showing some cable rub and zip ties marks. I can supply it without wheels or give a smoking deal with carbon rims. Shouldn't be more than $3000 even with carbon rims.

Have you consulted Mrs. Watson or consulted the advice of others who take their wives riding regarding your budget and plan? I imagine Mrs Watson would be put into the position of this kid's:

There's value in having matching bikes. Don't really want to throw the feminist hand out... without wheels, nor the attached parts like tires, cassette, rotors, $2000. You have a spares lying around to fill in the blanks, right? Was trying to see if I could do something including carbon wheels, but even as a bro deal, it'd be $2600. As much as I would like to buy Yeti ASR 5c Book Ends (White would be awesome!)
That's why I am looking for a used Medium Aluminum Framed 575 cuz I aint got that kinda money...
Looking to spend in the range from $800 to maybe $1200 with lower components. I have a wheel set if need be.
Even if it's a project bike, I'm good with that. Just like for it to be in decent shape.
