Kokopelli 2014!

Okay! 2014 Kokopelli sign up is almost upon us! Can you believe it!!!

Alex himself of Bikerpelli called, "The Eeeediot California" Crew out by name on his wake up email.

This will be my 3rd Year in a row doing this, and if you ever thought about doing anything epic, this is one for the "Bucket List". Mikie - I might be inclined to go. Last year was just as amazing as the first time! I am having a bit o trouble scheduling ANY time off from work right now but I hope to have enough employees cross-trained by then to make it work.

 

I'm inclined to agree Willi-D! To be honest I would be near devastated if you don't go (seriously!). This has become tradition for you and I . . .

Rossage- We have always gone the 2nd week (this year May 8th). We have always lucked out on the weather by doing that.

This is an epic trip for those who have never done it. Wish I could make it this year but I already have plans for May.

If you don't go, your gonna regret it. The first day runs along the Colorado river on the most amazing ledgey, technical singletrack. The views are spectacular, the meals will stuff you and are delicious, and the brew is outstanding! Plus, we will have Alex (owner of Bikerpelli) totally giving the California crew nothing but quality fashizzle..... Oh, and don't forget we finish on the upper and middle porcupine trail in Moab. You need to "think" about it? :shock:

You two are going, it's settled. Now lets start working on T2, Todzilla, hill^billy, JoeMac, and the rest of the fence sitters who are staying very very quiet right now..... :?

 

Okay, After talking with everyone. Well most everyone. We are not going to do Kokopelli this year and set up our own Epic adventure either in Moab or Fruita this year. I'll explain more later....

So sorry Ross! I posted the wake up call from Kokopelli the same day I got it. Got maybe's here. Texted everyone I had numbers for. Got 1 maybe and the rest No's. Posted it on Facebook and got mostly No's due to being broke or the desire to do something different this year.

I would rather save 500 bucks each on a support ride, come up with something fresh we all want to do. Go grab a campground in Moab and set up our own Daily Epics. Just some thoughts...

Yeeop. I'm sorry big guy. BUT! That does not mean we can't put something else together. The guys that planned on going this year bailed out. This would be my third year in a row. I'm thinking that maybe we go do something new, and does not rule out Kokopelli in the future.

 

Ok let's do it. I'm signing up tomorrow for the 2nd trip May 8th.

Been out of the country, that's why I was quiet. I'll be in for whatever the alternative is, I'm pretty sure we could never beat last years perfect conditions!

Okay. This has been an emotional rollercoaster, ha ha! Apparently H^B is out. I'm okay with that. I'm out. What we need to do is plan this better for next year as we do need to do this again. We'll take a break, go do our own Epic Adventure this year (sounding like Tahoe), and then reassess for next year. Anyone that does want to go I encourage you to go and have fun. It is a blast!

 

Yah, I live in the desert. Seems all the riding I have been doing is desert! Sedona,PCE,I love it but, I miss running into trees every once in awhile, besides carrying bear spay up in the trees I will only look like half the ass.

I'm hearing you MTB, is this just a one shuttle ride? Or is there more than a day or to worth of riding up there?

 

Not a weekend super epic but I've herd talk of a Valencia to malibu MTB 100 miler! ;-)
