Newbie with Hope!
Hey folks...I use to be over at SCTR and participated in group rides often, after a crash that resulted in a broken collarbone and shoulder surgery I gave up riding. I would like to get back into the sport and just thought Id say hello. Currently looking at bikes but man its all so new to me again ;)

It's really not all that new - the bikes are a lot better, but the stoke is still the stoke, so let's get going! Welcome back!

Welcome! Where's home for you? Still an OC plurality here, but LA, SGV, SFV, IE and out of state represented!
Do you DIY stuff? There are tons of used bikes on Craigslist and Pink bike, and it's a buyers market right now. Just might need some maintenance and upkeep as well as a good eye to look for an problems. Lots of deals at shops as well. You're doing the right thing by asking around. We're really good at helping people spend their money around here!
Just remember, your clavicle is stronger now than it was, so it's really a win-win!

Im in south OC Ladera Ranch is literally up the street from me.

Not a lot of group rides on IMTB. None of those huge Fullerton Loop rides that STR was famous for. Riders with similar geography and riding interests find each other for rides.

Frankly, there are only about 20 active members on IMTB these days. I hope you will make it 21.
