My current rear wheel is toast. Every time I true it up, it's back to it's bent shape in a few rides.

    Anyone??????

What rim width are you looking for?

Unsolicited advice: If the hub is good, it's easy to re-use existing spokes and lace in a replacement rim.

I hear ya, but it has been well over 15 years since I laced up a wheel. I am a little skuurd to take on the task. Currently my sanity is worth more than the savings of your suggestion. If I cannot find a replacement, this may be my only choice.

    OR BUY A NEW BIKE!:whistling:

I have a set of Stans Flow MK3 wheels that I haven't put up for sale yet if that suits your fancy? The rear has a shimano freehub body though.

You can take your hub to a wheel builder and he can use it to build on a new rim.

It's pretty straightforward. You just pull the freebub body off by hand and pop the new one in.

IF you use the same model rim, or one with the same ERD, just detension all the spokes, tape the new rim next to the old one lining up the valve hole, then move the spokes/nipples over 1 at a time till the new rim is laced to teh hub, untape the old one, then evenly tension and true!

That’s what I thought. Just wasn’t sure if they were straight pop on/off or need a “kit” of some sort.

Yeah, forgot all about the cheater swap. It’s been way to long. I might go this route, $70 for just the rim. Hmmmm
