I recently recieved a prescription for Maxalt. It took a second pill but it did bring the pain down tolerable which was much better than the intense sensation of feeling like I was being stabbed through the skull with a knife. Thanks for asking.

PRK for me almost 30 years ago. Made it into my late 40s before I needed reading glasses. Best $2k I ever spent.

Second CO shot yesterday (Moderna), and no adverse affects (yet). They say response is inversely proportional to age, so I should be OK.

 

I just got back from getting my first shingles shot. I do not want any part of preventable pain, LOL.

My doctor told me I might get sick for two or three days. I figured I would get in on a Tuesday so I will be ready to ride by the weekend. I can suffer at work.

 

I received my shot around 11am and started feeling slightly ill by 6pm. That lasted until around 10am the next day. Easily tolerable. You'll be fine.

 

Mine was at most a day too; just discomfort, not anything very bad.

 

SB County opened up to 16 y.o. and above today... My two offspring got it! 4/5 of the nuked family are inoculated!

 

Pretty interesting (to me); visit from friends in norcal yesterday. They said that vaccine has been available to 16 yo there because so many "more eligible" have refused it leaving a surplus.

 

Yup. SLO county just went wide open, so the college kids are signing up.

The cheap airfare era is coming to an end as well...the airlines are hoping to get healthy come June 15..

2nd shot yesterday morning. No symptoms until I woke up feeling cold at 3 this morning. Mostly tolerable with Tylenol. I put new grips on the bike today, but I have no urge to take it out for a spin. Manana.

I learned what “myalgia” means today.

So… They realize that not everyone wants 12 gears on a cassette? And you all thought I was nuts for looking at the Box 9 speed.

The Box will be the next drive train I purchase… once the current wears out. Should be soon.

 

Shift indicator has returned. Whoever mentioned it in the sad to see to see it go thread can rejoice.

And yeah, my 12 speed is a little much. I don't think it has much benefit over an 11 speed. But hey, latest and greatest and all that.

 

But they say you can replace the 11t, 13t and 15t...the least used on any cassette.

 

It’s an ebike drivetrain. It’s heavy, and meant to handle the 4x load. Who’s going to buy a nearly 2 lb cassette?
