Well since some counties went Democrat, and some went Republican, I'll have to assume you're a Libertarian?

You can always move to Oregon, where they just decriminalized heroin and cocaine. Those Oregonians are making California look moderate!

Jokes aside, looks like this election is playing out as a carbon copy of the last. Take California out of the equation, and the popular vote in the other 49 states is split almost exactly 50/50. Too early to tell which candidate is going to end up in the Oval Office, but it is also clear that whoever it is does not have a clear mandate. Note - I am not trolling for political flames; I am just commenting on the state of the election.

One thing I miss voting here in NC - there were no voter propositions

With 12% of the population of the country, I think it is just too large to be adequately represented at the federal level. Two senators - representing 12% of the country? Wyoming gets two senators, and they have 0.2% of the population!

I was an arcade rat in the late 70s & 80s. I could flip Pac man and Galaga repeatedly and I was damned good on Gorf. Arcade owners hated me because I would play for over an hour on one quarter. I first met my wife at the local arcade, in fact.

 

Asteroids for the win! ( Asteroids and Sprint Car..) In 1983 I made $ 7.50 p/hr sweeping floors in a machine shop. Guess where a large portion of my money went...

 

We had no arcades in the sticks... But for a couple months every summer, I could pedal over to the state park in the next bay and play Space Invaders at the snack bar.

 

Formidable for what?

 

....and set up that way on purpose by people who knew what they were doing because they had actually lived thru the other version and wanted no part of it.

 

Back in the day my bike was stolen while playing Pac-Man at the arcade.

 

It's like it just got gobbled up!

 

At least I got the high score.

Mine's not that bad yet - especially not the side knobs. My bike's in my storage closet and I never get home before dark, so pic will wait til weekend. I never said it was worn out - just that it's going to be time to replace it soon. I don't think there's a STRAVA cup for keeping your tire on until there's nothing left.

 

Think of how intimate we would become if you invited me into your Strava Universe!
